Dr. Sumandeep Brar was born in Arizona, before moving to India where she grew up with her large extended family, relocating to California in her youth. She loved growing up in India, surrounded by her large family, cousins, and grandparents. From a young age, Dr. Sumandeep Brar has felt a connection with people, empathizing with their stories. When she realized the positive impact that physicians have in the community, she decided to go into medicine.

She received her MBBS – Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India and completed her residency at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas. Dr. Sumandeep Brar specializes in Internal Medicine, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, arthritis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and depression.

Being part of a team that always puts the patients first is very important to Dr. Sumandeep Brar, which is why she joined Gonzaba in 2023. We are very excited to have her on the team!

In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends and family, watch movies, listen to music, do yoga, go hiking, be by the water, and try different cuisines and restaurants.

Dr. Sumandeep Brar is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.
