Dr. Tatiana Rugeles Suarez was born and raised in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Dr. Rugeles Suarez decided to go into medicine, wanting to make a difference in people’s lives, specifically in the elderly community. She believes it is very important to help seniors stay healthy, age at home, so they can continue to spend time with their families and keep doing the things they love.
Dr. Rugeles Suarez earned her Medical Degree from the Universidad Industrial de Santander in Bucaramanga, Colombia and completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at George Washington University, in Washington DC. She completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Boston Medical Center, in Boston, MA. She also attended Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, receiving a certificate degree, for completing the Introduction to Clinical Research Training Program.
She loves Gonzaba’s patient population and is very passionate about providing healthcare to seniors, joining Gonzaba Medical Group in 2024. Dr. Rugeles Suarez strongly believes that healthy aging is very important in a person’s life.
Throughout her career, Dr. Rugeles Suarez has given educational lectures and international presentations regarding Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Health, Dementia, and multiple health related topics; from post-heart attack recovery, communication in quality improvement and patient safety, cirrhosis of the liver, and heart health.
In her free time Dr. Rugeles Suarez enjoys running, cooking, puzzles and dancing.
Dr. Rugeles Suarez is fluent in both English and Spanish.
