Dr. Paola Forero Medina was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She graduated from the National University of Colombia, Faculty of Medicine where she received her Medical Doctor/Surgeon Degree. Dr. Forero Medina has a passion for solving complex medical issues and enjoys the long-lasting relationships built with her patients. In 2013, she was named Resident of the Year and received her internal Medicine and Primary Care Specialty Degree from Danbury Hospital/Yale School of Medicine in Danbury Connecticut. Dr. Forero Medina joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2021 because of their great family culture and their phenomenal support given to patients.

Dr. Forero Medina was awarded the 2023 Women Leaders in Medicine Award by the Bexar County Medical Society (BCMS). The award recognizes elite female leaders who have demonstrated hard work and dedication to the practice of medicine, by delivering quality care to their patients. She was nominated for her passion, for the way she treats her patients, how she inspires others, and how her medical work greatly affects the lives of people.

Dr. Paola Forero Medina recently moved to San Antonio, Texas from Fredericksburg, Texas in 2021 and loves the diversity that San Antonio has to offer. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking and watching movies with her daughters. In her free time, Dr. Forero Medina likes to volunteer at her children’s schools, listen to Latin music, and go kickboxing.

Dr. Forero Medina is fluent in both English and Spanish.
