Dr. Carlos A. Perez Ruiz was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in 2013.
Dr. Perez Ruiz is board certified in Internal Medicine and completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care. He joined Gonzaba Medical Group and La Diferencia hospice in 2022.
He also worked as a General Practitioner in the Emergency room at El Rosario Clinic in Medellin, Colombia, a Level II Trauma Center.
Dr. Perez Ruiz enjoys practicing medicine as he supports patients and families who have serious illnesses or are facing the end of life.
When asked why he chose Gonzaba Medical Group and La Diferencia hospice, he said “GMG is a very solid group, led by physicians, that care about their patients.”
In his spare time, Dr. Perez Ruiz enjoys going to the gym, trying different restaurants, drinking coffee, and riding horses.
