Gonzaba Expands Team with San Antonio’s Henry “Pepsi” Peña

With the onset of the pandemic, Gonzaba utilized their digital platforms to communicate and engage with their patients and San Antonio’s large senior population, launching Gonzaba Connection Wednesdays on Facebook as a way to bring weekly informative and entertaining content to be enjoyed by the entire family. Beginning in April, Peña will serve as host Gonzaba Connection Wednesdays.
As a renowned San Antonio personality Peña brings a trusted authentic voice as someone who genuinely knows the Gonzaba brand. He has been a brand ambassador, embodying the Gonzaba path for a healthier, happier you, and has served as a host for various Gonzaba events in recent years highlighting the importance of quality healthcare.

Launched on April 8, 2020, Gonzaba Connection Wednesdays features its physicians sharing information on health topics such arthritis pain management, foot health, hernias, breast cancer awareness, women’s health, men’s health, mental health, and general health and wellness information such as voting during a pandemic and life after quarantine. Other featured segments include fitness classes, yoga, Zumba, healthy recipes, arts and crafts, as well as experts in managed care health plans and Medicare. Featured guests have included Senator José Menendez, State Representative Ray Lopez, City Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran, representatives from AACOG and Texas A&M Extension Center, among others.
Peña is best known as the host an American Bandstand-style program, The Pepsi Peña Show on San Antonio television station KWEX that would forever connect Henry’s name with the brand, as well as a television talk show, Henry Peña y las Estrellas in Houston, and has produced the celebrated Patio Andaluz reunions showcasing years of music and sharing San Antonio’s classic westside sound. Peña is the owner and executive producer of the nationally syndicated San Antonio Oldies Radio Show which runs locally and in 25 markets across the country. Henry “Pepsi” Peña is legendary in San Antonio and began his broadcasting career in the radio industry as a disc jockey and later as Program Director and Sales Manager for the station, and was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2016.
